Heather Martin


Heather Martin is a writer, editor, and facilitator for Innovative InterChange, Inc. She joined the company in January 2007 after nearly seventeen years as a professional journalist, with several years of management experience. For three and a half years, she was publisher of the Dayton Business Journal; for five years prior to that, she was the paper’s editor and managing editor. She also spent several years as an editor and freelance writer for various newspapers and magazines, including the Washington (D.C.) Business Journal and Air Force Magazine.

Heather has been a board member or volunteer for several Dayton-area organizations, including WYSO 91.3FM, the Dayton Urban League, the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Dayton Development Coalition, and the Food Bank. She also is a graduate of Leadership Dayton. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Wittenberg University and a master’s degree in journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
